Received some great news today from James. Not only has he joined a new Professional Network for Models and Creatives, he has also booked three lots of work due to photography session we did together. Was fantastic to hear that our work has made an impact to James’ career. You can find James over at https://wearestori.com/ and on Stori’s Insta here: https://www.instagram.com/we_are_stori/
Had the pleasure yesterday working with Actor and Model James. Louise was again on hand to work her magic as the MUA. James was great fun to work with and was really up for the shoot. Already in talks about future collaborations!
Had a great day shoot with Kirsty who was the model for the session and we had Pro MUA Louise on hand to work make up. Below is some shots from the session. Have to say it felt more like fun than work!
Had a wonderful morning shoot with model Justyna. Justyna was a pleasure to work with under some very cold conditions in Ouseburn, Newcastle Upon Tyne. She was looking to expand her body of work which I was more than happy to help with. Go check her out over at https://www.starnow.co.uk
Didn't really won't this blog to be about gear but I've admired the quality of the Canon 35mm for a while now. I now have it in my hands!!!! Going to get some great photography from this lens. This image of Jessica is straight out of the camera!
House hunting this weekend down in Tadcaster. We stayed in York on Friday and was lucky to catch the test flights of the York Balloon Fiesta 2018. Kids were in awe of the big balloons and fascinated by the light and sound of the burners. They couldn’t get their heads around how it was moving.
I was a guest of wedding rather than the photographer the other weekend which was really nice. The wedding was at the wonderful Jesmond Dene House. I couldn’t help though taking a few photos. Made sure to keep well out the way of the official photographer!
Though not technical the start of Autumn myself and Bodhi had lovely autumnal afternoon at Churchill Playing Fields. Girls were at school so we went exploring down the Wagon Ways.
I finally this weekend got myself into Newcastle to kick off my 100 Strangers Project. I have wanted to this for a long time for many reasons. I have always admired the portraits people can produce on the street. It also stretched and challenged me to engage with complete strangers. Even though I interact with strangers at weddings there is an expectation that you will have your photo taken, you are already a participant of the event. I had 30 minutes free in Newcastle and in that time I had four people willing to take part and only two rejections! It was totally amazing experience and was fantastic to engage with people who were willing to have there portrait taken. Itching to get my next set!
